I was so enraged when Larten died! especially the cruel manner in which Darren wrote it!

first, it's sad, so you start crying. ;___; then it gets happy, so tears of joy and relief pop by. ^_________^ and then, he dies. *_*

I WAS FREAKING P*****!!!!!! I wanted to go on a death rampage, kill Steve, and Darren (the author).

it took me a long time to come to grips about it, and I wouldn't eat for 2 weeks.

R.I.P, Larten. you were like a father to me. -___- I will always keep him in my heart and mind, never forget him. not ever.

Yes, Debbies fault. That's why many people hate her.

Debbie was the one who begged Darren and Mr. Crepsley to stay in town a while longer, while they were actually planning to go because they couldn't find the Lord of Vampaneze. If they would've left, Mr. Crepsley wouldn't have died.
Ok, maybe he would, but at least in a different, maybe not such a bad way.

And...what is the most terrible thing? Darren Shan has also written a chapter when others Vampire Princes appear and start to kill vampaneze, just when Mr.Crepsley is going to die...(by Darren's imagination ;_;) But in the next chapter, he talk about that terrible moment...and about what happened REALLY ;___;

oooh, the pain and sadness! Well, actually, I've pretty much gotten over it, though I still miss him terribly... what a terrible way to write someone's death! Sad, then happy, then sad again, and then you get angry! :|

You know what's the worst part about it then?

When Steve says he's the Lord of the Vampaneze... You really feel so stupid. They've had so many chances to kill him, and then... Mr. Crepsley dies, and he didn't even kill the real Lord of the Vampaneze.

I don't think that I need to type up how I felt in that certain chapter of the book.

I do not think Steve is evil. He made mistakes, but it was mainly all Desomond Tiny's doing. They practicaly had no choice.

But...in a way, Darren managed to not become as evil as him! =O

Well, in general it's all Mr. Tiny's fault. It was said that it one of them would be the Lord of the Shadows, no matter what. (though Darren messed that up for Des Tiny)

Also I think he had to have good blood (as Des Tiny made him) because Mr. Crepsley would never have blooded him otherwise and then when he died it would push Darren more to the dark side. Making him (or Steve) the Lord of the Shadows

ive read the book....and i cried for 2 whole month and its not Debbie's fault...she just wanted to help even though shes human...humans have right to help aswell even shes Darren's ex girlfriend....

why would some people think Steve is not evil...ofcouse steve is...he's the one who killed LARTEN CREPSLEY!!!!

That doesn't mean he is evil. He's a very misguided albeit a little psycho, youth. Crepsley telling him he had bad blood pushed him over the edge.

Ok, so maybe he IS evil but...I still think he's an amazing detailed character. He's a work of art.
