Do you remember about that potion that Larten gives to Darren, when he has to fake his death?
Do you think potions like that really exsist? =O And if so, where on the Earth may we find them? XD Definitely not in a supermarket!

It would be...disqueting XDDD
In another book I've read there is a potion that has the same effect, but there is a difference: who drinks it falls asleep and wakes up only after many hours..

Well I think thier is one but you're not not awake or asleep, you just makes you go into a short time coma and wake out of it after a few hours or a day.
But with nasty side effects.

That potion kind of reminded me of the one in Romeo and Juliet. The one that Juliet takes to fake her death so she can run away with Romeo. It gave her the apperance of being dead but she was not. I wonder if Master Shan borrowed said potion from Sir William's book.

In ''The Four Feathers,'' Heath Ledger escapes prison by drinking a potion that simulates his own demise. Do such elixirs exist?
There's no classic recipe, but certain opiates would do the trick, according to Dr. Steven Seifert, poison specialist at Children's Hospital in Omaha. ''A high amount of morphine or opium would depress respiration, and you could get very pale as a result -- enough to possibly give you the appearance of death.'' And though humans can go up to five minutes without oxygen, Seifert warns against experimenting at home. ''It's a dangerous business, because if you're not careful, you run the risk of [temporary death] becoming long-term.'' |

Hmmm, haven't seen R+J. Anyway about that potion i think it exists except that what i heard was its a venom from a spider that causes you to be in a full
body paralysis.
But who knows? I might just be wrong

Hmmm...just like Madame Octa's one, then? ^-^
P.S. By the way, I asked my teacher, she said that some venoms can cause the IMMEDIATE death by full paralysis, but she added that it's unlikely the effect is only partial. (She meant, that the person doesn't lose consciensounes and the brain isn't damaged by the poison). xD

I asked Coach Allen about something that could give one the appearance of death. But he just laughed at me and called me a complete and total idiot who lets his imagination get the best of him.

So theres a couple of things that can give you the appearance of death then.

And there are anesthetics but you would still be breathing, so you don' have the total illusion of death . . .
