Full Version: Am I the only one that...
DaNy
...used to make, for a long time (even without noticing that!) this spelling mistake?

KURDA SMALTH instead of KURDA SMAHLT ^^''

XD D'oh! emo-cry.gif emo-risatina.gif
Harkat
no i've never done that before
DaNy
xDD I found out that only few weeks ago XD I was convinced I was right!!! =o
Crimson_Batwings
It's an easy mistake to make. Hell, just spelling normal words can be tricky for me and proofreading is even worse ^^
min-lan
Hey I've done that mistake too! I didn't notice it either. It's funny... unsure.gif
DaNy
xD He he! I'm not the only one! *Parties*

Maybe it's because in our languages it comes to us more naturally putting the H after and not before! Do you agree?
min-lan
Well maybe... Though I don't remember any word in Finnish that would end to H.
Well... Hannah ends to H... emo-poor.gif
DaNy
xD He he! But is it a name, right?

I can't find one too =(
Vampire_Princess
wow thats strange emo-LOL.gif
Secret-Spy-Guy
I've never mispelled it. (never had the chance) but in my head, for the longest time, I would say, Kurda Schmalht. But now I have it right. biggrin.gif
DaNy
And, hey, I've always pronounced his surname in a similar way to the word "Small"...is it right? XD
Secret-Spy-Guy
When I say it, I say it Smalt, with an H sound in there. I'm not sure if it's right though. The English language is so weird when it comes to pronouciation. biggrin.gif (I know I spelled that wrong)
DaNy
Lol, you can't imagine how many times I mispronounce something XD It's so embarassing... ^^''

Well, it's true I'm not English, but it's embarassing anyway XD
Secret-Spy-Guy
Hey, I admire people who learn English as a second language. Looking at it, the entire language makes no sense. The words, Bough, and though look the same, but they're pronounced different. It's weird. biggrin.gif Kudos to you.

I think dutch is also a difficult to learn *nods* I see english as my 2nd language.
anyway, I always pronounce it like Smalt with the very londonlike , ok, that may sound strange but I dont know how to say it any different.
Secret-Spy-Guy
I've heard that Dutch is a hard language. Also Chinese. My dad wanted me to take Chinese, but I don't think I could ever hope to learn it. biggrin.gif I'm fine with Spanish.
SwordoftheVampiress
I've misspelled it in my as Kurda SCHMALTS. Similiar how to Secret-Spy-Guy misspelled it actually.
Xephios
Worse - I went around saying "Shmalt" for a period of time XD
