In my opinion, it's a Mr.Crepsley's plane...but Darren is a good actor xD
In this part of story, Darren is too unskilled to make a plane like this...

Hmm... I think it as Darren's plan, too. Or at last I remember he called the plan as a his plan but... It could've been also Mr.Crepsley's (or them both) plan...
Darren was really inventive so I believe it's possible that Darren had planned the whole thing.
It was really smart plan. I didn't figure it out at all before Darren told about it...

I think that it wasn't such a great plan. Murlough may be crazy, but that doesn't mean he's completely stupid. So many things could've gone wrong. And as Darren also says in the book, if things would turn out in the wrong way, everyone could have died. It wasn't really thought through.
On the other hand I think it's very clever of Darren that he could think of a plan that fast. I guess there just wasn't enough time to think of a better plan.

I think that Darren probably had the foundations of a plan, and Mr. Crepsley built on it. It was very clever ^^ I didnt actually realise it was a plan :S

I totally forgot it was a plan until Murlough said Mr. Crepsley went back to the surface and Darren led him to Debbie's house.

Hey...I've just read again the book.
It's true! At the end, Larten says to Darren that his plan was very very good! It was by him!

Neither did I. It was simply brillant, I really got the impression Darren really did that because he was impulsive and silly, and he just couldn't wait to run and save Evra xD

So did I! But at the end of the book, if I'm not mistaken, Larten tells him "Congratulations" just because of the plan =D

I didnt think it was Lartens, because I remember Darren saying...Well heres the plan, or something like that. But for a 12-13 year old...Its a pretty good plan. Thats slightly insulting for me, but hey.

I think it was a good plan for someone that young- not that I'm saying because he is young, he is uncable of thinking of a decent plan

I think it was a clever plan but as Fre-chan said, so many things could have gone wrong with it. But really...their hands were tied. At that point there was no other way for them to go but forward. And sometimes the most forward of plan are what people expect less. Especially in situations like that.
Also as Mrs Larten Crepsley said I think the plan was Darren's but Larten helped fine tune it. That way all the possible faults could be ironed out. The really dangerous, volatile ones anyways.
